Thanks for the journey...Noel UMC
The Noel UMC Upper Room Class
50th Anniversary Celebration
February 9 & 10, 2008

In a tiny room in the belfry of the Sanctuary of Noel Memorial United Methodist Church, the journey began.  On Sunday, February 8, 1958, a group of 6, including leaders Art and Dorothy Gammill, held the first meeting of a class of young couples that was to become the Upper Room Class. In the fall of 1960, with Al Trickett's leadership, the class really began to move forward.  Following his example and "each one reach one" philosophy , those few members began to knock on doors and encourage young couples in the church and their neighborhoods to join the class. Within three years the membership had grown to about 100. Today the class still remains alive, active and a vital part of Noel.  Following the plan set out by Al in those early years, the role of the Upper Room Class has been to carry on God's work by being active in the church, taking care of each other and performing His mission, down the street and around the world. Oh, the things we have learned, the things we have seen,  the things we have accomplished and the wonderful people we have met along the way!

To mark this special occasion, the class members are planning a reunion for all past and present members on Saturday, February 9 and Sunday, February 10, 2008. This site has been designed to provide activity information and celebrate this class. Travel down the road of memories with us as we look back on this journey of faith, fellowship and friends.
